Crescent Roll Fruit Pizza
One of the reasons I love this recipe is how easy the crescent roll crust is to prepare. The baked crust is light, flaky, and pairs perfectly with the sweet cream cheese topping and fresh fruit.

Tips for Choosing Fruit
The best fruit pizza starts with fruit that is fresh, colorful, and not overly juicy.
- If using canned fruit, drain it well and pat it dry with paper towels before adding it to the pizza.
- Choose fruits that hold their shape and won't release too much liquid while sitting on the cream cheese layer.
- Watermelon can be used, but it's best added just before serving since it contains a lot of moisture.
- Bananas and apples are delicious toppings, but they can brown quickly. Add them right before serving for the freshest appearance.
- Berries, peaches, kiwi, grapes, and mandarin oranges are all great choices because they stay fresh for several hours after assembling the pizza.

Substitutions and Variations
There are plenty of ways to customize this fruit pizza recipe based on the fruit you have on hand or the type of crust you prefer.
- Swap the peaches for kiwi, raspberries, mandarin oranges, grapes, or additional berries.
- Fresh strawberries and blueberries hold up well after assembling, while bananas and apples are best added just before serving.
- If using canned fruit, drain it thoroughly and pat it dry to prevent excess moisture from softening the cream cheese layer.
- For a cookie-style crust, use refrigerated sugar cookie dough as I did in my Fruit Cookie Pizza and Flag Fruit Sugar Cookie Pizza. Slightly underbake the cookie crust so it stays soft and easy to slice.
- Pizza dough also works well as a base. Simply prebake the crust before adding the cream cheese topping and fruit, similar to my Easter Egg Fruit Pizza
- For holiday brunches and parties, make individual fruit pizzas using sugar cookie dough for a fun single-serving dessert option.
Step-by-Step Instructions
This section includes step-by-step photos and instructions to guide you through the recipe. For the complete printable version, scroll down to the recipe card below.

Step 1: Unroll and separate the crescent rolls. Lay them flat on top of a round 12" pizza pan pressing the seams together to create one large round pizza dough crust. Use a pastry roller to help.

Step 2: Bake in a preheated 350° F oven for about 12 to 15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Allow it to cool completely before adding the cream cheese frosting.

Step 3: Beat together softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in whipped topping, then spread the mixture over cooked and cooled crescent rolls.

Step 4: Finally, add the fruit and arrange in a decorative pattern. Serve immediately. This recipe is best served within an hour or so of making as the fruit juices can bleed into the cream cheese layer.
Insider Tips from My Kitchen to Yours
✔️ DO let the crescent roll crust cool completely before spreading on the cream cheese topping so it stays smooth and creamy.
❌ DO NOT add very juicy fruit or undrained canned fruit, as the extra moisture can make the topping and crust soggy.

Storing, Freezing, and Prep-Ahead Tips
Refrigerator: This recipe will store in the refrigerator for about a day; however, it's best served the day you prepare it.
Freezer: I do not recommend freezing this recipe.
Prep-Ahead: Bake the crescent roll crust up to 24 hours in advance. Once cooled, wrap it in foil and refrigerate. Prepare the fruit ahead of time, but wait to assemble the pizza until just before serving to keep the topping fresh and creamy.
