Recipe Notes
Twist or Leave Plain: You can twist each strip of dough before placing it on the baking sheet for a decorative touch. Alternatively, you can bake like a pizza and cut them straight for a classic breadstick shape.
Spacing: Leave some space between each breadstick on the baking sheet to allow for expansion if you cut the dough before baking.
Seasoning: Add seasoning to the dough before baking for extra flavor. You can brush the dough with melted butter or olive oil and sprinkle it with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, grated Parmesan cheese, or any other desired herbs and spices.
Serve Warm: Once the breadsticks are out of the oven, you can brush them with additional melted butter or olive oil for extra flavor, if desired. Serve them warm with marinara sauce, garlic butter, or your favorite pizza dipping sauce.
Should you let Pillsbury pizza dough rise?
Pillsbury pizza dough is designed to be a quick and convenient option that does not require rising before baking.
Unlike traditional pizza dough recipes that require rising time to develop flavor and texture, Pillsbury pizza dough is formulated to provide consistent results without the need for rising.
This makes it an excellent choice for those seeking a time-saving and easy option for their pizza or cheese stick recipes.
Should pizza dough be brought to room temperature before baking?
Pillsbury pizza dough is ready to use right out of the package; however, if you are using homemade pizza dough, allow it to rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to a couple of hours to make it more pliable and easier to stretch.
