sausage and peppers sandwich is just the recipe we all need for busy nights!
While shopping in Walmart last week, I found Jack Link’s Wild Side Jalapeno Sausages in the fresh meat section. I loved that they were pre-cooked sausages and I knew I could have dinner on the table FAST for my family!
Dinner is on the table quick with this easy recipe for sausage and peppers sandwich.
- One package of Jack Link's Sausage
- One green bell pepper; sliced
- One red bell pepper; slicked
- One orange bell pepper; sliced
- One yellow bell pepper; sliced
- One medium sized onion; sliced
- 2 TBS. vegetable oil
- Hard rolls
- Cheddar cheese
- Barbecue sauce; optional
In a large skillet, heat the 2 TBS vegetable oil.
Add the pepper slices and onion slices and cook for 10 to 12 minutes or until the onion is translucent and the peppers are beginning to soften and brown.
Slice the pre-cooked Jack Link's sausage and add to the pan with the peppers and onions.
Continue to cook for another 10 minutes or until the sausage is heated through.
Serve over warmed or toasted hard rolls topped with barbecue sauce and cheddar cheese.
