Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Use a wide mouth funnel to help you add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt for the first layer in a quart sized mason jar.
Step 2: Add the cooking oats on top of the flour layer.
Step 3: Then add the Valentine's Day M&M's.
Step 4: Add the white chocolate chips on top of the M&M's.
Quick Tip
Layer the dry ingredients in the jar in a specific order. Use a tart tamper, a small spoon or the back of a measuring cup to pack down each layer to ensure that the ingredients fit tightly in the jar. This will prevent air pockets and keep the ingredients fresh.
Step 5: Pour in the dried cranberries.
Step 6: Then add the brown sugar layer.

Recipe FAQ's
To view the answers, simply click on the down arrow (⬇) next to each question. If you have any other questions not answered here, please leave a comment!
For most cookie mix in a jar recipes, a 32-ounce mason jar is ideal. It holds enough dry ingredients for a standard batch, usually making about 24 cookies. If you're making a smaller batch, a 16-ounce jar can work, but ingredient amounts may need adjusting.
Mason jar gifts with dry mixes can be made in advance by using fresh ingredients, sealing the jar tightly, and storing it in a cool, dry place. For the best presentation, add a decorative ribbon and attach a gift tag with baking instructions and a suggested use-by date (typically 3-6 months).
Storage and Reheating Instructions
Room Temperature: Store a mason jar with cookie mix in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture to keep the ingredients fresh.
