Late afternoon or early evening (around 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM) is a great time for a summer BBQ. It's warm enough to enjoy being outside, but not too hot. There's still plenty of daylight for activities and the setting sun creates a nice atmosphere for dinner and conversation.
