Can you save unused crescent roll dough?
After you open a can of crescent roll dough, you can wrap it with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for a few hours. However, after a few hours the dough will no longer be good.

Recipe Substitutions and Variations
- Crescent Roll Sheet Dough- will help you get a more even surface. But sometimes it can be hard to find this type of dough in the grocery stores.
- Chopped Peppers- add red, green and yellow peppers to the top of the cheese.
- Italian Sausage - brown a few links of sweet Italian sausage and crumble it up and toss on top of the pizza sauce before adding the cheese.
- Mushrooms, Black Olives, Chopped Broccoli - make it a veggie pizza!
- See this dessert version of this recipe, Crescent Roll Fruit Tart, on my website!
Step-by-Step Directions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 425°F. Open the can of crescent rolls, but do not separate them. Place them on a piece of parchment paper. Press the dough together to form one big rectangle. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough leaving about an ½ inch to 1 inch crust.
Top Tip
Try using either a pastry dough roller or rolling pin to get the crescent rolls to form a rectangle shape. If you need to, sprinkle a little flour on top of the dough to keep it from sticking.
Step 2: Add the mozzarella cheese followed by the pepperoni, Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
Baking Instructions
Step 3: Gently lift up the edges of the parchment paper and place either on top of the preheated pizza stone or a baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 - 12 minutes or until the crust is brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- 【5 pcs Pizza Stone Set】This set contains a square pizza stone(15" X 12" X 0.6"), a pizza peel(11" X 15.6" ), a pizza cutter, a plastic scraper and 10 pieces of parchment paper. If you want to make pizza at home, this is all you need.

Storage Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. These ingredients don't stand up well to freezing.
How to Reheat Pizza
Use the following methods for reheating pizza:
- Toaster oven - Preheat the oven to 350°F, placing the slices directly on the rack, and baking for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is crispy.
- Traditional oven - I like to place leftover slices of pizza on a preheated pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Air fryer - one of the newest ways to ensure leftover pizza is crispy is to use the air fryer.
- Do not use the microwave!

I made this pizza a few times. Each time I have varied the toppings. I am planning on making it tonight. This time I will use ricotta cheese instead of marinara. I will then add a sliced shallot, breaded chicken breast strips, roasted broccoli and cauliflower topped with shredded mozzarella. This pizza and all my variations is requested by my husband quite frequently. My 4-year old twin grandchildren love it as well. Thanks so much for the great recipe that I can vary to my family’s tastes.

I’m curious why 425F instead of the 375F specified on the crescent roll package?
I cooked mine as specified in your recipe for 11 min and it came out a bit burnt on the bottom. My son still ate it… but even he was asking why it was burnt lol
Lois says
I always bake my pizza recipes in a hot oven. I'm guessing your oven at 425 is hotter than mine. Make a note and next time start checking the pizza after 8 minutes and remove it when it just starts to get brown. Thank you for visiting.

OMG as the teens say these days, this was so good!
I love pizza, and I live alone so I hate making a big pizza, but this was a perfect size, I set aside a few slices for the next day's breakfast and lunch.
I made this exactly the way it was written except I added ham instead of pepperoni, a winner 🙂
Next time I make it I am going to try Daiya cheese as I can't have too much regular cheese

Thanks for the great comment! Glad you enjoyed the recipe!

Hi, have you tried this with dairy free cheese? I was going to make this except with Daiya cheese, as my toddler son has a dairy allergy. TIA!
Lois says
I haven't made this with dairy free cheese. Have you used this type of cheese before to make a pizza? I think it will be fine!
