Apple Crisp is a recipe I absolutely adore. Actually, I love all fruit crisp recipes, but there's something about apple crisp that says, "Fall has arrived."
This is one of the easiest apple dessert recipes you'll make that everyone will love!
Apple Crisp is one of those recipes that everyone just loves. Add a little fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and you have one of the best desserts for Fall to serve to your family. It's even great when guests come.
One of the first fall desserts I learned how to make after my husband and I were married was apple crisp. After a week of working in the city, we would visit a local farmstand and purchase fresh-picked apples almost every Saturday. Then I would put together this easy dessert to enjoy after church on Sundays.

Best Apples to use for Baking
My favorite apple to use for baking is Golden Delicious, but Baldwin, Cortland, Northern Spy and Idareds all hold their shape well during cooking and taste delicious in different recipes.
A good tip is to mix a few different apples in recipes to come up with the flavor you and your family like best.

This recipe looks good.
Please note that the amount of nutmeg needed is NOT listed. I assume it was meant to be either 1/8 or 1/4 tsp. nutmeg.
I might give it a try tomorrow, but with Granny Smith apples (since that’s what’s in the larder.
