Things to do with Puff Pastry
Be sure to allow the puff pastry to thaw completely but remain cool to the touch. If it’s too warm, it will become sticky and difficult to work with. Thawing in the fridge for about 30 minutes to 1 hour works well.
When rolling out the puff pastry, use a lightly floured surface to prevent sticking. Make sure to roll it out evenly to avoid uneven baking.
A serrated knife works well for cutting the rolled dough without squishing it. You can also chill the rolled dough for 10-15 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts.
Chilling the dough before baking will also keep the butter in the dough cold, so it will create steam in the hot oven to create flaky layers.

Recipe FAQ's
To view the answers, simply click on the down arrow (⬇) next to each question. If you have any other questions not answered here, please leave a comment!
There are a few possible reasons: the dough may have become too warm before baking, causing the butter to melt into the dough; the oven may not have been hot enough; or the dough may have been rolled too thin, preventing the layers from puffing up properly.
To cut puff pastry successfully, use a sharp knife or pastry wheel on a lightly floured surface. Chill the pastry first if it's too soft. Apply firm, even pressure, cutting straight down without dragging or twisting. Wipe the blade clean between cuts for neat edges.
Storage and Reheating Instructions
Refrigerate: Place any leftovers in an airtight container or wrap them tightly with plastic wrap or foil to prevent them from drying out. Store them in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days or at room temperature for 2 days.
Freezer: Allow the rolls to cool completely, then wrap each roll tightly in plastic wrap, then place them in a freezer bag or container. They can be frozen for up to 2 months.
Thaw and Reheat: To reheat frozen baked cinnamon rolls, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight, then warm them in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes until heated through and crispy again. For a quicker option, you can also reheat directly from frozen, but it may take a few minutes longer in the oven.
Microwave Tips: Avoid microwaving any leftovers made with puff pastry, as it can make the pastry soggy.
