What to do with leftover Halloween candy?
It's Halloween night, and you've just come home from a night of trick-or-treating with a big bag of candy. But what do you do with all that leftover Halloween candy? Here are a few ideas:
- You could donate the candy to your local food bank. They can distribute the candy to families in need or use it in their own holiday events.
- Another idea is to trade it in for something else. Many dentists have programs where they will trade candy for toothbrushes or other prizes. And some schools have classroom parties where kids can trade in their candy for toys or other goodies.
- Or, , you can use extra candy to bake cookies. You could bake Leftover Candy Cookies or my Leftover Candy Cane Cookies
Can you freeze cookies?
Yes, you can freeze cookies! This is a great way to extend the shelf life of your cookies, and it can also be a convenient way to have them on hand for when you get a sudden craving.
When freezing cookies, it's important to wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or place them in a freezer-safe container. This will help to protect them from freezer burn and keep them fresh-tasting.
For best results, eat frozen cookies within three months. When you're ready to eat a frozen cookie, simply thaw it at room temperature or microwave it for a few seconds.
