How to Make Pepperoni Roses

Step 3: Make a rose by overlapping pepperonis around the rim of a small glass. You can also use salami if you want.

Step 4: Keep going around the glass. Slightly overlapping the slices until you're happy with the size.

Step 5: Stick 3 or 4 slices of salami folded in half on a toothpick. Use these toothpicks from Amazon.

Step 6: Place the pepperoni rose, salami, and spicy pepperoni nuggets on the board. Add a few of the pretzels bites.

Step 7: Cut some strawberries in half and shape into a heart. Place the strawberries and thin slices of apples on the board.

Step 8: Fill in spaces with crackers. Try to use a variety of crackers.

Step 9: Place bowls of olives and almonds on the board. I like to use these square ones from Amazon.

Step 10: Then add sprigs of fresh sage to fill in empty spaces on the board.
Insider Tips from My Kitchen to Yours
✔️ DO add fresh roses for a pop of color and tuck in a few sage sprigs to fill empty spaces and make the board look full and inviting.
❌ DO NOT add juicy fruits or soft cheeses too early, as they can release moisture and make the board look messy before serving.

Recipe FAQ's

The quantity of ingredients depends on the number of people you're serving. For a small group, plan on about 2-3 ounces of cheese per person, 1-2 ounces of meat per person, and 1-2 small handfuls of nuts or crackers. Adjust based on the size of the gathering.
To keep the ingredients fresh, store your charcuterie board in the fridge if preparing in advance, and cover it tightly with plastic wrap. Be sure to place items like fresh fruits or spreads in separate containers to prevent them from wilting or drying out.
Storage & Serving Tips
Refrigerate: To store leftover cheese, wrap hard cheeses in wax or parchment paper, and place soft cheeses in airtight containers. Wrap whole cured meats tightly in plastic wrap or butcher paper. Fruits, vegetables, and nuts should be placed in an airtight container and refrigerated to maintain freshness.
Room Temperature: Store leftover crackers in an airtight container at room temperature to keep them crisp and fresh.
Freezer: While most components of a charcuterie board are best enjoyed fresh, some items can be frozen for later use like hard cheeses, cured meats, and nuts. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator when ready to enjoy.
Serving Tips: Serve the charcuterie board at room temperature so the cheeses are easy to slice and the flavors shine. Add crackers and fruit just before serving for the freshest look.
