Weekly Meal Plan – Italian Recipes for Dinner

With the help of our Weekly Menu Plans that I share every week,  I hope to ease the burden of trying to figure out what’s for dinner every night…well at least for FIVE nights.  This week’s let’s enjoy Italian recipes for dinner…and don’t worry, you won’t be eating pasta every night!

What is your favorite Italian recipe? I love all types of Italian recipes for dinner, but my absolute favorite is homemade manicotti. And I also love a bowl of plain pasta with homemade tomato sauce.

I like to call that my “old school” recipe because when my husband and I were first married we ate a lot of pasta with just tomato sauce.  We were just starting out and didn’t have much.  We enjoyed our pasta recipe a few times a week…without meat too!

Getting dinner on the table every night was always a challenge for me when we were first married. We both worked very long hours and I didn’t feel like cooking when I got home at the end of a long day.

Even now, getting dinner on the table can be a struggle some nights.  Let’s face it, we’re all busy. Especially if you still have children at home who are involved in after-school activities.

Even though our kids are grown, I only have a limited amount of time some nights to get dinner prepared.
