Pumpkin Glazed Donuts
A few years ago Dunkin Donuts came out with an amazing donut to their fall menu. Pumpkin Glazed Donuts soon became my favorite treat to enjoy!
I decided to try making my own version of these AMAZING pumpkin donuts using the recipe for my Pumpkin Muffins I shared with you a few years ago.
Baked not Fried Donuts
The donut pan that I used was the one I used for the chocolate donuts I made for Olivia’s birthday a few years ago. I like using this pan because the donuts are so baked and not fried.
Donuts cooling off before adding the glaze. Don’t they look amazing? I love the crumb topping!
Pumpkin Glazed Donuts drizzled with glaze and ready to eat!
Pumpkin Glazed Donuts are delicious and EASY. They're baked in the oven and not fried using a great donut pan that you can easily find online or in most home goods stores that sell kitchen tools.
- 1 box spice cake mix
- 3/4 cup canned pumpkin puree; NOT pumpkin pie filling
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp oatmeal
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the crumb topping ingredients in a bowl and using a pastry cutter, or two knives cut the butter into the mixture until you have crumbs; set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, pumpkin puree, eggs and melted butter. Mix until combined.
Spoon the mixture into the donut pan that has been sprayed with a non-stick spray. Use a butter knife to spread the donut batter out smoothly.
Place about one tablespoon of the crumb mixture onto the top of each donut batter.
Bake for 10 minutes to 12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into one of the donuts comes out clean. Let the donuts cool slightly before removing them from the pan.
Combine the glaze ingredients together and drizzle over the cooled donuts.
