Reindeer Cookies in a Jar
Ingredients
- 1 quart size mason jar
- 1 cup + 2 tablespoons flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup old fashioned oats
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
- ½ cup granola
- 24 red M&M's
Instructions
Instructions for the Jar:
- Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small mixing bowl.
Using a canning funnel, put the flour mixture into the bottom of the mason jar. Then layer each ingredient individually in the order below:
- Old fashioned oatmeal, brown sugar, granulated sugar, semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, granola. Add the red M&M's on the top.
Instructions to Bake the Cookies:
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together ½ cup softened butter, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Add the ingredients from the mason jar except for the red M&M's.
- Mix well and drop onto a cookie sheet that's been lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 8-10 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool for 30 seconds and then place one red M&M in the center of each cookie for Rudolph's nose.
