👩🍳Can Oreo balls be left out at room temperature?
For best results, refrigerate the truffles until you're ready to enjoy them. The truffle filling is made with creamy cream cheese, so it's important to keep it chilled. Additionally, if left out, the chocolate coating may become soft.

💡 Substitutions and Variations
- Use "harvest corn" candy corn that has the chocolate end for a different look for the tail feathers.
- If you can't get Reese's Pieces, you could make a beak by cutting the white tip off of a candy corn.
- Use your favorite flavor of Oreo cookies to make the truffles.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Step 1: Mix the cream cheese into the crushed Oreo cookies.
- Step 2: Use a small cookie scoop to portion the dough and roll it into a ball.
- Step 3: Chill the Oreo balls on a parchment lined baking sheet for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Step 3: Melt the chocolate chips and dip an Oreo ball, coating all the sides.
📌Quick Tip: You'll want to add the candy corn and other decorations while the chocolate is still wet, so have everything ready to go so you can work quickly.
- Step 4: Immediately press the candy corn into the top of the ball for the feathers. Add the candy eyes and a Reese's Pieces candy for the beak.
- Step 5: Continue dipping and decorating the rest of the Oreo balls then refrigerate for 30 minutes to harden the chocolate.
