Recipe Notes
Select ingredients that cook at a similar rate to ensure even cooking. Vegetables like potatoes, carrots, and onions work well with proteins like chicken, fish, or shrimp.
Spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray or brush it with oil to prevent the food from sticking and facilitate easy cleanup.
Cut vegetables and proteins into uniform sizes to ensure they cook evenly and are done at the same time.
Leave some space between the ingredients and the top of the foil packet to allow room for steam to circulate and for the food to expand as it cooks.
Seal the foil packets tightly to trap steam and prevent juices from leaking out during cooking. Fold the edges of the foil over the ingredients and crimp them tightly to create a secure seal.

Step 2: Coat the chicken and potatoes with the olive oil and seasonings.
Step 3: Place the chicken and potatoes on a piece of foil that's been sprayed with non stick cooking spray.

Expert Tip
It's a good idea to spray the aluminum foil with non-stick cooking spray before wrapping chicken and potatoes up in a foil packet.
This helps prevent the food from sticking to the foil during cooking and makes it easier to remove the food from the packet after it's done cooking.
Air Fryer Cooking Instructions
Step 5: Cook in the air fryer for about 30 minutes at 400°F.
Step 6: Check to see if the potatoes are fork tender and the chicken has reached 165°F.

Yes, you can wrap chicken in foil and cook it in an air fryer. Make sure to leave enough space around the chicken packet for air to circulate freely in the air fryer basket. Blocking airflow can result in uneven cooking.
The cooking time for chicken wrapped in foil in an air fryer can vary depending on factors like the thickness of the chicken and the specific air fryer model.
However, as a general guideline, you can cook boneless, skinless chicken breasts wrapped in foil in an air fryer at 375°F for approximately 20-25 minutes.
Always check the internal temperature of the chicken using a meat thermometer to ensure it's cooked thoroughly. The USDA recommends poultry be cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Storing, Freezing, Thawing and Reheating Tips
Refrigerator: Make sure the chicken and potatoes have cooled to room temperature. Then, transfer them to an airtight container or wrap them tightly in fresh aluminum foil . Store the leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
Freezer: Wrap the leftovers tightly in aluminum foil, or place them in airtight freezer bags to minimize exposure to air and prevent freezer burn. Remember to label the packages with the contents and date of freezing so you can easily identify them later.
Freezing Tip: Consider dividing the leftovers into individual portions before freezing to make it easier to defrost and reheat only what you need.
- PERFECT MEAL PREP CONTAINERS - Our meal prep containers are high quality and reusable, 30 oz 2-compartment food storage containers with lids use each compartment to separate your main course from entrees in reasonable portions.
Thawing Tips: When you're ready to use them, thaw the frozen leftovers overnight in the refrigerator or use the defrost setting on your microwave. Avoid thawing them at room temperature to prevent the risk of bacterial growth.
Reheating Tips: Warm up the thawed leftovers in the air fryer, oven, or microwave until they are heated through. Adjust the temperature to a lower setting and extend the cooking time in the air fryer to avoid drying out the food.
