📋Main Ingredients Needed
Quick Tip: For this recipe, I used my Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe. However, I've also made these mini pizza bites appetizer with Pillsbury refrigerator pizza dough and deli pizza dough. They all work fine!
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Step 1: On a large floured surface, roll out the pizza dough until thin and then use desired cookie cutters to cut out shapes with the dough.
- Step 2: Try to place the cookie cutters close enough together on the pizza dough so you don't waste too much of the dough. You can easily roll out the scraps again to cut more shapes.
- Step 3: Arrange the shapes 1 to 2 inches apart on a baking sheet that has been lined with baking parchment sheets.
- Step 4: Add your favorite toppings to the mini pizza appetizers.
Baking Instructions
- Bake the pizza in a hot preheated 425°F until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Appetizers to serve with pizza
Serve the pizza appetizers with our family's favorite pizza dipping sauces. You can serve Caprese Antipasto Skewers or a few of our delicious Italian Puff Pastry Appetizers.

Recipe Variations
- Change out the pizza sauce and use your favorite Alfredo sauce or a homemade meat sauce.
- Instead of pepperoni, try salami!
- Add an assortment of vegetables like red and green peppers. If your family likes mushrooms, add those as well.
Prep-Ahead Tips
- You can prepare the mini pizza appetizers ahead of time by putting the pizzas together, cover lightly with plastic wrap and then placing the tray in the refrigerator until you're ready to bake them.
- These mini pizza appetizers work great all year round and would be really cute for a child's birthday party using animal or flower shaped cookie cutters.
Storage Tips
- If you have any leftovers, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or place them in an airtight container before storing them in the refrigerator.
- When ready to eat, either reheat it in the air fryer or an oven preheated to 350 degrees F until cheese bubbles.
