How to roll crescent rolls?
- Open the package of crescent roll dough and carefully tear along the perforations to separate the triangles.
- Lay out one triangle of dough on a clean, flat surface, with the wider end facing you.
- Starting from the wide end, gently roll the dough towards the pointed end. Apply even pressure as you roll to ensure the dough sticks together.
- Once rolled, you can leave the crescent roll as is, or you can slightly curve the ends inward to create the traditional crescent shape.
- Repeat the rolling process with the remaining triangles of dough.
- Place the rolled crescent rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them a few inches apart to allow for expansion during baking.
- Bake according to the instructions on the package until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Once baked, allow the crescent rolls to cool slightly before serving.
- Enjoy your freshly baked crescent rolls as a delicious accompaniment to any meal!

- Pepperoni- add pepperoni slices on top of the cheese sticks.
- Try my Homemade Garlic Butter recipe instead of the butter with Italian seasoning this recipe calls for.
- Pizza Dipping Sauces - instead of marinara or pizza sauce, try dipping the crescent rolls in my homemade pizza dipping sauces.

Step-by-Step Directions
Step 1: Begin by opening the package of Crescent Rolls but do not separate them. Lay the dough flat on a lightly floured surface, using a rolling pin if needed to smooth it into a rectangle shape. Proceed by dividing the dough into 6 equal rectangles.
Step 2: Distribute approximately one to two teaspoons of pizza sauce onto the surface of each rectangle.
Step 3: Next, position half of a mozzarella stick atop the pizza sauce.
Step 4: Carefully roll the dough over the mozzarella stick, ensuring to pinch the seams together. Then, position the rolled dough seam-side down on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush with Butter
Step 5: Mix the melted butter with the Italian seasoning in a small bowl. Brush the mixture onto the top of each crescent dough stick.
⏲Baking Instructions
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in a preheated oven at 400°F, or until the sticks are golden brown. Serve alongside additional pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.

Is Pillsbury crescent dough sheet puff pastry?
Puff pastry and crescent roll sheet dough are made with very similar ingredients. Puff pastry will puff up lighter and flakier because of the many layers.
