Recipe Tips That Worked for Me
- Let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes before starting. This allows it to soften slightly, making it easier to scoop.
- Pour the soda slowly over the ice cream. That way the ice cream won't foam up and overflow the glass.
- Try pouring the punch into clear plastic cups and top each with a mini scoop of sherbet. It’s less messy, easy to serve, and just the right size for little hands.
How Do I Make a Large Batch of Easter Punch for a Crowd?
In a large punch bowl, combine one 59-ounce carton of strawberry lemonade with a 2-liter bottle of lemon-lime soda. Top with a half-gallon of strawberry ice cream just before serving.
Storage Tips
- If the punch has been sitting out at room temperature for more than two hours, it's best to discard it to prevent the risk of bacterial growth.
- Otherwise, refrigerate the leftover punch promptly in a clean, airtight container.

Yes! They now come in designs for most holidays, such as Christmas Gingerbread men, Halloween pumpkins, and even chocolate-dipped Valentine's Hearts. They are available all year round.
No, this Easter punch is best made right before serving. Preparing it in advance will cause the ice cream to melt and the soda to lose its fizz, which affects both the texture and taste. For the best results, have all the ingredients chilled and ready to go, then assemble the punch just before your guests arrive.
