Filled with fresh lemons and strawberries, this Infused Strawberry Lemonade is the perfect combination of sweet and sour. Everyone loves lemonade when the weather is hot.
How about we take it up a notch and make an infused water recipe with colorful juicy strawberries and lemon slices. Serve this recipe over plenty of ice and don't forget the fun straws!
Like most kids, I grew up drinking powdered fruit or iced tea drinks. I don't remember ever having homemade lemonade. It will be hard to make a pitcher with a powdered mix after you taste this Infused Strawberry Lemonade recipe.
Most infused water recipes require a special pitcher, but you really don't need one. As long as you allow the fruit to soak in the water or lemonade for at least 30 minutes, you will be able to taste the flavor of the fruit.

Step-by-Step Directions
Step 1: In a saucepan, mix 1 cup water with 1 cup sugar. Heat the mixture over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool for 5-10 minutes.
Step 2: To a large pitcher, add 4 cups of cold water, then stir in the simple syrup and lemon juice. Taste the mixture and adjust as needed by adding more water for a milder flavor or more lemon juice for a tangier drink.
Step 3: Gently stir in the sliced strawberries. Use the back of a spoon to lightly crush some of the berries, releasing their juices into the lemonade. Finally, add the sliced lemons for garnish and an extra burst of flavor.
Serve Chilled
Step 4: Let the lemonade chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld and develop. Serve in glasses filled with ice, garnished with fresh lemon slices for an extra touch of elegance and flavor.

Top Tip
Any flavor of lemonade tastes better with lots and lots of ice! So make sure you have plenty ready for the mason jar glasses when serving.
If you wanted to mix things up with the recipe you could add vodka or even plain seltzer water. Make sure you label the lemonade so little ones don't get into any alcoholic beverages when serving.
Storage Tips
According to My Recipes, you should store and consume infused strawberry lemonade:
- Store the infused strawberry lemonade in the refrigerator.
- But keep in mind, that when you add citrus fruits to any infused water recipe, you should drink it the day you make it. The rind from any citrus can make the water bitter.
- A fun way to store any leftover lemonade is to freeze the beverage in ice cube trays! Pop them out and store in a plastic bag to use the next time you prepare strawberry lemonade.
Recipe FAQ
How long does it take to infuse water with fruit?
The longer you allow the water and fruit to chill, the stronger the flavor will be. I like to prepare the infused lemonade the night before and enjoy throughout the next day.
