Substitutions and Variations
Switch up the mix-ins: Use semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, or a mix of your favorites instead of white chocolate chips.
Try different nuts: If you’re not using macadamia nuts, chopped walnuts or pecans work well in this recipe.
Make it nut-free: Simply leave out the nuts or replace them with extra chocolate chips.
Change the flavor: Add a teaspoon of almond extract or coconut extract for a slightly different flavor profile.
Customize for gifting: Layer in colorful sprinkles or themed candies to match holidays or special occasions.

Insider Tips from My Kitchen to Yours
✔️ DO: Pack each layer firmly using a tart tamper, small spoon, or the back of a measuring cup so everything fits tightly in the jar.
❌ DO NOT: Skip wiping the inside of the jar or packing the layers, or the mix may look messy and leave air pockets.

Step 3: Add the sugar.

Step 4: Tap the ingredients down using a tamper tart tool or a flat head potato masher.

Step 5: Add the white chocolate chips.

Step 6: Then add the macadamia nuts.

Step 7: Add the mason jar lid and then place the fabric over the lid. Attach the printed gift tag with twine.
