🥣Step-by-Step Instructions
How to prepare the Rice Krispie Cereal
In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Remove from heat and mix in Rice Krispies cereal until well coated. Allow the mixture to cool slightly before forming the nests,
How to Form the Nests
Step 1: Coat a mini muffin pan with cooking spray.
Step 2: Spray a small amount of cooking spray onto your hands to prevent sticking. Next, mold a portion of the Rice Krispies mixture into a ball and gently press it into a mini muffin tin.
Top Tip
Use either the back of a spoon, or a tart tamper tool to form the ball around the bottom and sides, to create a “nest”.
Step 3: Using a spoon, shape the mixture around the bottom and sides to create a "nest" shape.
Step 4: Put the coconut in a ziplock bag, add the green food coloring, seal tightly, and shake vigorously until the coconut is uniformly coated and becomes green. Then, sprinkle a small quantity of colored coconut flakes onto each "nest" for a festive finish.
Step 5: Arrange the nests on a serving tray. Then place a few candy eggs on top of each nest.

Storage Tips
Make sure they are completely cooled before storing to prevent condensation and sogginess. Place the treats in an airtight container, separating layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Store them at room temperature for up to 2-3 days for optimal freshness and texture. If you need to store them for longer, you can refrigerate them for up to a week, but be aware that they may become slightly firmer.
Freezing Tips
You can freeze the Rice Krispie treats for longer-term storage. To freeze them, wrap each treat individually in plastic wrap or aluminum foil to prevent freezer burn and moisture loss.
Then, place the wrapped treats in a freezer-safe zip-top bag or airtight container. They can be stored in the freezer for up to 1-2 months.
