Best Apples to use for Baking
My favorite apple to use for baking is Golden Delicious, but Baldwin, Cortland, Northern Spy and Ida Reds all hold their shape well during cooking and taste delicious in different recipes.
A good tip is to mix a few different apples in recipes to come up with the flavor you and your family like best.

Please note that the amount of nutmeg needed is NOT listed. I assume it was meant to be either 1/8 or 1/4 tsp. nutmeg.
I might give it a try tomorrow, but with Granny Smith apples (since that’s what’s in the larder.
