How do you cut chicken for skewers?
Before you start cooking, you'll need to know how to properly cut chicken for skewers. If you cut the chicken into strips and it's too thin, they might fall off the stick while cooking. However, if you cut them too thick, they will take much longer to cook than the vegetables.

Ingredients
- 2 chicken boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 1" pieces
- 2 bell peppers cut into 1" pieces
- ½ red onion cut into 1" pieces
- 4 ounces whole mushrooms cut in half
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon dill
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon parsley
Method
- In a mixing bowl, combine the oil, yogurt, garlic and spices to create a marinade.
- Toss the onions, peppers, mushrooms in the marinade.
- Let sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Cut the skewers to fit the inside of your air fryer basket. Soak the skewers in water while the chicken and vegetables marinade.
- Place the chicken and vegetables on the skewers.
- Place the skewers in the air fryer basket and cook at 400°F for 8 minutes.
- Flip the skewers and continue cooking for an additional 7 minutes or until the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F. Use a digital meat thermometer.
