Recipe Notes
I used vanilla pudding and colored it with gel food coloring to get the pastel pink and green colors. Sometimes the yellow tint in the pudding mix will affect the way the color comes out when dyed, so you can also try using cheesecake flavored or white chocolate flavored pudding mix that has a white base.
Change up the colors of the pudding without using food dye by switching the flavor of the pudding mix. For example, you could use pistachio pudding mix for a pastel green.
You can layer this in a trifle dish to have one large dessert.
Feel like taking it up a notch? Decorate with Easter Peeps, green shredded coconut, and candy eggs like I did with my Chocolate Pudding Peeps recipe!
What is the best way to crush cookies?
The fastest way to crush cookies is by using a food processor or blender. If you don't have one, no worries, just place them in a zip top bag and crush with a rolling pin or meat mallet.

📋Ingredients
This is an overview of the ingredients and instructions. Be sure to see the recipe card below for exact quantities, detailed instructions and special notes.
Substitutions and Variations
- You can change up the colors to fit different occasions and holidays by using different food coloring or different flavored puddings.
- You can use homemade whipped cream in place of the Cool Whip if you're eating them the same day. Homemade whipped cream won't hold up in the refrigerator as long since it doesn't have stabilizers like Cool Whip does.
- Try these pudding cups with Vanilla or Lemon Creme Sandwich Cookies as well!
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the pudding by combining the pudding mix and milk.
Step 2: Divide the pudding mixture into two bowls. Add red food coloring for pink pudding and green for light green pudding.
Quick Tip
I used 9 ounce punch cups to make these individual desserts!
Step 3: Divide the Cool Whip equally between the bowls of colored pudding.
Step 4: Add a couple tablespoons of cookie crumbs to the bottom of each cup. Try to press them into a flat layer.
Step 5: Add a layer of light green pudding. Smooth out the top of the pudding layer with a spoon to make it even.
Step 6: Add another layer of crushed Oreos. Again, try to keep the layer flat an uniform.
Step 7: Add a layer of pink pudding. It's beginning to look very pretty, right?
Step 8: Top with whipped topping and sprinkles.

Easter Pudding Cups
Ingredients
- 1 3.9 ounce package vanilla instant pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 8 ounce Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed
- 20 Oreo sandwich cookies finely crushed with filling
- red and green food coloring
Instructions
Prepare the Pudding:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes, set aside to allow it to thicken for about 5 minutes.
- Divide the pudding mixture into two separate bowls. Add food coloring to each bowl. I used a few drops of red to get a pink colored pudding and a few drops of green to get the light green colored pudding.
- Divide the Cool Whip evenly among the bowls of colored pudding.
Assemble the Pudding Cups:
- Add one to two tablespoons of the cookie crumbs to the bottom of each serving cup.
- Add a layer of the pastel green pudding mixture.
- Then add another layer of crushed cookie crumbs followed by a layer of the pink pudding mixture.
- Refrigerate for at least one hour.
- Right before serving, top each pudding cup with a dollop of Cool Whip and decorate with pretty Easter sprinkles.
