You know the frozen garlic bread slices or even whole loaves you can buy in the grocery store that’s pretty expensive? Well, after making this recipe for awhile, I decided to freeze the bread slices so we can have garlic bread with any meal.

Can you Freeze Garlic Butter?
Freezer: To freeze the garlic butter, wrap it securely in plastic wrap or transfer it to a freezer-safe container and store it for up to six months. When you are ready to use the frozen garlic butter, allow it to thaw in the refrigerator overnight before using it in your favorite recipes.
Freezing Tips for Homemade Garlic Bread
- Spread the butter on top of thick sliced bread, I like to use thick French bread.
- Lay the slices of bread on a baking tray that's been lined with parchment baking sheets.
- Place the baking tray in the freezer until the bread slices are frozen. This should take about 30 minutes.
- Once the slices of bread are frozen, place them in a freezer-safe plastic bag, label and back into the freezer.
Thaw and Reheat Frozen Garlic Bread
- Remove the desired number of slices and place on a baking tray. Let the bread sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes. Broil until the bread is lightly browned.

Easy Garlic Butter Spread
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
Method
- In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients together until they are blended.
- Spread on sliced bread and place under the broiler until lightly browned.
- Store the butter in a mason jar or plastic container in your refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- Spread the garlic butter on top of sliced thick bread. I like to use French bread. Lay the bread on a baking tray and place the baking tray in the freezer for about 30 minutes or until the bread is frozen.
- Remove the bread from the tray and store in a freezer safe plastic bag.

I made the bread with texas toast and buttered both sides of the bread and made grilled cheese sandwiches for my grandson with 3 different kinds of cheese. I used smoked gouda, grated mexican cheese and colby jack. Needless to say, he loved it! His favorite way is still with american cheese and lots of it. The best part of using texas toast is that after it's been frozen on a cookie sheet, it can go right back in the bread wrapper in the freezer and taken out as needed.

I had to come back to this page and leave a comment. This is the most amazing garlic butter I’ve ever tasted! Don’t know if it makes a difference but I splurged on the fancy Kerrygold butter.
