Do you love easy recipes as much as I do?  Good.  Because today's recipe for Homemade Bread Sticks is easy and quick and your family is going to love it! But first I need to let you in on a little secret.  I've shared this recipe before on the blog a few years ago.

I've been meaning to update it with better photos and a printable recipe card and I finally got around to doing that yesterday.  I think you'll be happy with this updated version of the recipe. You're going to love how easy it is to have homemade bread sticks for dinner tonight!

Tips for Making Homemade Bread Sticks

    • You can use either homemade pizza dough or store-bought pizza dough.
    • You can also purchase pizza dough from your favorite pizza restaurant.  They will sell you dough!
    • If you're using store-bought pizza dough, make sure it's at room temperature before trying to roll it out.

    Step by Step Instructions

Roll out the pizza dough onto a floured surface.

Place each twisted bread stick on a parchment lined baking tray.  Even if you have non-stick baking trays you're going to want to line them with parchment paper.  It helps crisp up the bread sticks.

If made ahead do they reheat well?

I would make them ahead but not bake them. Keep them in the refrigerator on a baking tray wrapped in plastic wrap. Remove from the refrigerator about an hour before baking.
