Can you substitute all purpose regular flour for Bisquick mix?
You cannot directly substitute all-purpose flour for Bisquick mix. Bisquick is a pre-mixed baking mix containing flour, leavening agents (like baking powder), salt, and shortening.

- 3 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 ½ tablespoons baking powder

- ½ cup butter cold and cubed
Method
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt
- Add the butter to the flour mixture and using a pastry blender or two forks, cut the butter into the mixture.
- Transfer to an airtight container.
- Add the flour, baking powder and salt to a food processor.
- Pulse to combine the ingredients together.
- Add the cold, cubed butter and pulse until the mixture is coarse and resembles cornmeal.
- Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
