I discovered it in a cookbook my husband gifted me way back in 1992, and it's been a family favorite ever since. Trust me, this recipe is a keeper – it always comes out perfectly and everyone loves it!

Spinach Bacon Quiche Frozen Pie Crust
Feel free to use your favorite homemade pie crust for this quiche! (I actually use the same recipe for my chicken pot pie!) But honestly, a store-bought crust works perfectly here.
You really can't tell the difference, and it makes this recipe so much easier.

Recipe Substitutions and Variations
- Instead of the cooked bacon, try pancetta, chopped ham, sausage or even smoked salmon.
- In place of the spinach, you can use kale, or chopped broccoli.
- Try changing out the cheddar cheese and use swiss cheese, Monterey Jack or even Gruyere.
- The ideas or endless when you start making this recipe. I've even adapted this recipe to make mini quiche to use for appetizers for holidays or parties.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and whipping cream until light and frothy. Then, gently fold in the spinach, crumbled bacon, and cheese, ensuring they're evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Step 2: Roll out the pie crust dough on a lightly floured surface until it's about 12 inches in diameter. Carefully transfer it to a 9-inch pie plate, gently pressing it into the bottom and up the sides. Pour the quiche mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- PRREMIUM GLASS: These pie plates are made of premium borosilicate glass, thick, can go straight from the refrigerator to the microwave or oven to the table without breakage, it's ok to place into the oven to 560 Degrees F
Baking Instructions
Step 3: Bake the quiche in a preheated 375°F oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. The quiche should be beautifully golden brown and the center should be just set. Let it cool slightly before serving.
Quick Tip
Curious when your quiche is ready? Grab your trusty instant-read thermometer! While 160°F is technically safe, aim for 165-185°F in the center for a creamy, perfectly cooked quiche.

Storage and Reheating Tips
Refrigerator: Before storing, let the quiche cool completely at room temperature. This helps prevent condensation from forming, which can make the crust soggy. Store the covered quiche or wrapped individual slices in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Freezer: Wrap any leftovers tightly in plastic wrap, then in aluminum foil or a freezer-safe bag. This helps prevent freezer burn. Freeze for up to 3 months.
Thawing and Reheating Tips: Allow the frozen quiche to defrost in the refrigerator overnight. Reheat individual slices in a 350°F oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until heated through or in the microwave but be aware that the crust might become slightly softer.
