- I recommend printing the labels on card stock paper for the gift tags. Regular printer paper will be fine for the baking instructions.
- Cut out the gift tags and attach them using using red and white twine. You now have a great hostess gift ready for all your holiday gift-giving needs.

How to make Homemade Waffles
- When your gift recipient is ready to make waffles for breakfast, all they need to do is add the wet ingredients listed on the gift tag and then follow the directions listed as well on the gift tag.
- Cook the waffles according to the manufacturer's instructions on the waffle iron.
- 2 cups of waffle mix will give you roughly 8 waffles.

Christmas Waffle Mix in a Jar
Waffle mix in a jar makes a simple and thoughtful holiday gift for neighbors, teachers, friends, and family. Add a ribbon and a gift tag with the instructions, and you have an easy homemade present that’s both practical and festive.
If you’re planning a holiday breakfast or brunch, serve these waffles alongside a sausage and egg breakfast casserole or a batch of homemade cinnamon rolls. You can also browse all of my Christmas breakfast recipes for more easy ideas.

How to Store Waffle Mix
- Store the jars in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months. The dry mix holds up well when sealed tightly, making it easy to prep in advance.
- You can also assemble the jars a few weeks ahead of time if you’re planning to give them as gifts.
Can you Freeze Waffle Mix
- Yes, homemade waffle mix can be frozen to extend its shelf life. Store the mix in an airtight container or freezer-safe bag, label it with the date, and freeze for up to several months.
- When ready to use, let the mix come to room temperature before adding the wet ingredients and cooking as usual.
Insider Tips from my Kitchen to Yours
✔️ DO use a wide mouth funnel to help you get everything in the mason jars without making a mess.
❌ DO NOT substitute self-rising flour, as it will change the balance of the dry ingredients.

Homemade waffles can be frozen and reheated for later, though the texture may be slightly softer than when freshly made.
Let waffles cool completely, then place them in a single layer on a baking sheet to freeze. Once frozen, transfer to a freezer-safe bag or container for longer storage.
