Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
Ingredients
- 2 bunches of asparagus 48-64 stems
- 1 pound bacon any flavor you like
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Cut the ends of each stem of asparagus, about ½" - 1" making every stem a uniform height. This part of the asparagus is the tough, woody part just underground at the root.
- Arrange the asparagus into groups of 3-4 stems.
- Wrap each group in one slice of bacon leaving stems exposed at both ends for aesthetics and functionality for handling.
- Place the wrapped stems in the air fryer basket and season generously with garlic and pepper.
- Cook at 400°F for 15-18 minutes depending on the desired cook of the bacon.
- Remove wrapped asparagus from the air fryer and let rest. This allows the bacon to finish cooking as it cools and seals in those much-desired fats.
Notes
-
Don't over crowd the air fryer basket. Keep the bundles in a single layer with room for the air to circulate around them.
