Favorite Pancake Toppings
My favorite way to enjoy pancakes is simply with butter and warm maple syrup. It helps that our daughter-in-law is from Vermont and we now have the best syrup available to us!
I love making Homemade Strawberry Sauce or my Homemade Blueberry Sauce to pour on top of the pancakes. And you can't beat fresh fruit with maybe whipped cream!
Freezing Tips
These pancakes even freeze well! So if you happen to have leftovers, lay them flat on a baking tray lined with parchment baking sheets and place in the freezer to "flash freeze" for about 30 minutes or so.
Next, remove them from the baking tray and place the frozen pancakes in a freezer safe bag. You then have pancakes for busy mornings that you can easily reheat in the microwave.
How to Print the Labels
Fill out the form below you'll be able to print out the labels to use when you make your own Pancake Mix as a Gift or just to use for your own kitchen.
- I recommend printing the labels on card stock paper for the gift tags.
- Cut out the gift tags and attach them using using red and white twine. You now have a great hostess gift ready for all your holiday gift-giving needs.

3 Tbsp of baking powder is a lot for this quantity of flour. Are you sure its not a typo?
Lois says
It's NOT a typo! The BULK PANCAKE MIX calls for 4 cups of flour, so you need the 3 tablespoons of baking powder and baking soda. Hope this helps you!
Laurie says
I'm confused about the quantity of baking powder. 3 TBSP is a lot and then to include baking soda. Is the BP quantity correct? Thank you. I made and gave it as a gift along with a little bottle of syrup and some dried blueberries. Hope it works out.🤔
Lois says
Yes, this is a bulk pancake mix recipe and it does call for 3 tablespoons of baking powder AND baking soda to be combined with the 4 cups of flour. Your gift idea sounds lovely!!!
ColleenB.`Tx. says
One thing to remember; make sure you use Fresh baking powder and baking soda.
When it comes to Fall baking I start out with all fresh ingredients.
in my pancake mix; I will use Club Soda OR Seltzer water in place of the milk which makes for nice fluffy pancakes.
Lois says
That's a great tip and I love the idea of using club soda!!! Thanks for visiting!

How many pancakes does this make?
Lois says
Hi Cheryl! How many pancakes the recipe makes depends on the size of pancakes you prepare, but you should get about 6 - 8 pancakes following the directions of 1 cup mix, 1 cup milk and 1 egg. I always double that when preparing breakfast for my family of four. Thank you for visiting!

Great gift idea! We love our pancakes so we'd love such a homemade gift.
maryreichert says
is the milk amount correct
Lois says
Yes, it's 1 cup mix, 1 cup milk and 1 egg mixed together. Sometimes depending on the day I may need to add an extra tablespoon or 2 of the mix. Always make sure you shake the mix together before measuring out a cup of it in case some of the ingredients have settled.
