👩🍳Slider Sandwich Tips
- Slider sandwiches are typically made with small buns or rolls. Hawaiian rolls or soft dinner rolls work well as they are slightly sweet and add a nice flavor.
- Brushing melted butter on the buns before assembling the sliders adds richness and enhances the overall taste. You can also mix in herbs or spices for extra flavor or use my Homemade Garlic Butter recipe!
- Don't forget to add cheese! Cheese is an essential component of slider sandwiches!
- Feel free to experiment with different meats and cheeses to suit your taste.

📋Ingredients
This is an overview of the ingredients and instructions. Be sure to see the recipe card below for exact quantities, detailed instructions and special notes.
💡 Substitutions and Variations
- Instead of deli meat, you can use a rotisserie chicken or thinly sliced or shredded chicken breasts. These would also be great with turkey!
- Use bacon bits if you don't have fresh bacon.
- For the ranch dressing you can use your favorite bottled kind or Homemade Ranch Dressing.
- You can substitute the cheddar with colby jack or kick it up with some pepper jack cheese!
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Step 1: Mix the seasonings into the melted butter. Cut the rolls in half horizontally to create a bottom and top half. Place the bottom half of the rolls on to your baking sheet.
📌Quick Tip: Use a serrated bread knife when cutting the Hawaiian rolls in half to keep them from tearing.
- Step 2: Brush the bottom of the rolls with seasoned butter. Add layers of cheese and chicken.
- Step 3: Add the cooked bacon and drizzle with the ranch dressing. Add another layer of cheese before placing on the top half of the buns.
- Step 4: Brush the top of the Hawaiian slider rolls with the remaining melted garlic butter.
Step 5: Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until the sliders are golden brown.
- Step 6: Cut and serve. Enjoy!

🍶Storage Tips
- These sliders are best enjoyed warm out of the oven, but you can save any leftovers for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
- Reheat in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds or until warmed through. For the air fryer, reheat at 300°F for a couple of minutes until warmed, or in the oven for about 7-10 minutes.
➡️Top Recipe Tip
- When layering the ingredients, begin and end with the cheese to help keep the sandwiches together when cut. This also keeps the rolls from becoming soggy from the juice of the chicken.
- Remember to cover the sandwiches with aluminum foil so the tops don't become too brown.
You sure can! Start off by preheating the air fryer to 300°F. Cut the sandwiches apart, and place into the air fryer in a single layer with a small space between the sandwiches to allow the air to circulate. Air fry the sliders for 5 to 8 minutes or until the cheese has melted, and the sandwiches are browned.
A chicken slider is a small sandwich made with chicken as the main protein. It typically consists of a mini bun or roll filled with cooked chicken, often shredded or sliced, and various toppings or condiments. The small size of the sandwich makes it easy to enjoy multiple flavors or create a variety of toppings for guests to enjoy.
